Lesson #26: World Peace Costs $0.00

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned before turning 30 is that kindness and common courtesy don’t cost anything but can make a world of difference. Whether it’s reracking your weights at the gym, cleaning up your table after eating at Chipotle, or putting your shopping cart back in the designated rack at the grocery store, these small acts of consideration require minimal effort but have a significant impact. We often go through life moving from task to task, but showing others thoughtfulness is easy and valuable. Be kind to service industry workers—they are our unsung heroes, and even a simple smile or thank you can brighten their day.

These simple gestures don’t cost you anything but make the world a little more pleasant for everyone. The little things, like holding the door for someone, acknowledging people around you, or just treating others with respect, help foster positivity and goodwill. In the end, practicing kindness and common courtesy isn’t just about making someone else’s day better but also about living in alignment with values of respect, humility, and empathy. Engaging in these small yet mighty acts of kindness creates a ripple effect of positivity and compassion that can change the world for the better.

What are some ways you show small random acts of kindness, or perhaps some ways someone showed YOU?? Share in the comments or send me a DM!
